Before You Book Overnight Pet Sitting in Folsom

Paw Patience is built for owners who want their dog or cat to stay home — not go to a kennel — while they leave Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Orangevale, Granite Bay, or Fair Oaks for several days.

The service is simple on purpose:

  • Sitting happens in your house

  • One person stays during the day and overnight

  • Minimum booking is 3 days (72 hours)

  • Nights follow your pet, not a facility schedule

That last point is how you can rely on a one-person service. The rules are the backup.

Why people book this instead of a kennel

Your pet keeps their bowl, bed, yard, and litter box. There is no drop-off line and no rotating staff. For cats, seniors, and dogs that get rattled in new places, that is usually the calmer option for a trip of three days or more.

What happens before anyone stays

Meet in your home.
The sitter comes to the house. The pet is there. You walk through morning, evening, and night. If the pet hides or hangs back, the meet is still useful. Do not use the first paid night as the introduction.

You leave the routine in writing.
Feeding times. Meds. Where the pet sleeps. Last potty. Doors that stay shut. How the key or lockbox works.

You leave your vet information.
Clinic name, phone, after-hours clinic, medications, and one local person who can answer the phone. Paw Patience does not invent a vet. If the pet needs help, the sitter calls you first, then your backup, then your clinic.

You agree on pay and dates.
Start time, end time, amount, when it is due — in a text both of you can reread.

None of that is paperwork for show. Over 72 hours, including overnight, those four things are how a sick stomach or a late flight gets handled without guessing.

What you can count on during the stay

  • The same person who met your pet is the person in the house

  • Daytime company, not a 20-minute pop-in

  • Daily walks, playtime

  • Overnight presence; if your senior needs a late yard trip, that is the night plan

  • Updates so you know whether they ate, went out, and settled (photos, videos)

  • An honest no if the pet, the house, or the dates are not a fit

FAQ

Are you available for one night?
No. Three days minimum.

Do you take the pet to your house?
No. We stay in yours.

Why collect vet details if I already have a vet?
So the sitter can reach your clinic instead of searching for an ER at midnight.

How do I know I can rely on one person?
You meet them first. You get the plan in writing. You get updates during the stay.
